Cross-cultural leadership in China

I had a fantastic time on an international MBA exchange at one of the top universities in China, Fudan University in Shanghai, for the Global Network for Advanced Management program.

It was an chance to learn first hand about innovation in China and meet some amazing Executive MBA students from the world’s top business schools.

The ability to understand China’s unique environment and its opportunities as well as challenges is an essential element of the global contextual leadership.

I gained insights into China’s innovative landscape powered by data, AI and interconnected ecosystems. We covered a range of topics, including disruptive innovation, digital transformation, marketing, public and government relations, sustainable growth as well as winning strategies in Asia.

Cultural experiences were facilitated alongside company visits and case analyses of China’s digital pioneers and successful customer-driven transformation. A deep dive into Tencent, Alibaba, ByteDance, Shein, Temu and other companies made for engaging classroom discussions. It was a great trip.
