SANS Cyber Incident Leader

I’m proud to share that I’ve completed SANS’s LDR553: Cyber Incident Management hands-on training and earned the GIAC Cyber Incident Leader (GCIL) certification.

This course sharpened my ability to guide teams through every stage of a breach. I was awarded a challenge coin for the top score in the final capstone project.

I learned to orchestrate incident response under pressure by translating complex technical findings into clear, actionable steps, keeping people focused, motivated and supported throughout containment and recovery.

Earning this credential validated my skill in building and maturing incident management programs that align with organisational risk appetite.

As a CISO, I’m committed to embedding these practices into security operations: I lead exercises and develop playbooks that stress-test processes, identify gaps and reinforce decision-making paths, ensuring we move swiftly from detection to resolution. This course honed my crisis-leadership skills: distilling critical data into concise executive briefings, managing stakeholders and fostering a culture where every incident becomes an opportunity to strengthen our defences.
